May Staff Spotlight: Bella Oakerson and Elizabeth Moore

We are so excited to introduce you to the Bakehouse Team!


We enjoy getting to know everyone who walks through our doors, so we thought you may like to know a little bit more about those behind the counter here at the Bakehouse! Each month we'll feature a member (or two) of our team, share a little bit about them, and how they made their way to the Bakehouse. Without further ado, please meet this month's featured team members - Franklin Bakehouse’s dynamic duo, Bella Oakerson and Elizabeth Moore!

Can you share a little bit about yourself?:

I am originally from Seattle, WA and moved to Franklin about ten years ago. I come from a big family, and I am the oldest of six. I have a passion for the food industry and love learning more each day about the art of baking!

Why did you want to join the Bakehouse team?

Prior to working at the Bakehouse, I worked with Angie and had an awesome time! When I saw that she was opening her own place I knew I had to be a part of it.

What do you like most about working at Franklin Bakehouse?

I really love baking, and the fact that I get to do that everyday as my job is the coolest, so I am super grateful to have that opportunity. Our team is also amazing, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know everyone.

One word that you would use to describe your team:

Lively. Someone is always laughing, singing, or cracking jokes in the kitchen!

Your favorite Bakehouse item/meal? 

I can’t decide! It would have to be either the beef stew or orange scone!

What do you like to do outside of work? 

I love spending time outdoors, hanging with friends, drinking coffee, and going to the movies.

What is something people don’t know about you that you would like them to know?: 

I love to sing and play guitar!

Can you share a little bit about yourself?:

I have a doggo named Watson! He is a rescue so not quite sure what breed he is, but we think a beagle/pitbull mix and he is my best friend! I also run a candle business called Wild Sage & Co.

Why did you want to join the Bakehouse team?

I was looking for a job where I could work and grow in a kitchen and this opportunity presented itself with Bella introducing me to Angie.

What do you like most about working at Franklin Bakehouse?

My coworkers! They are all fun people who I enjoy working with.

One word that you would use to describe your team:

Kinetic! They are always on the move.

Your favorite Bakehouse item/meal? 

The sausage & kale soup!

What do you like to do outside of work? 

I love ice skating, hanging with friends and photography!

Anything else you would like to share?

Thank you to Angie for being an awesome boss and the opportunity to work at Bakehouse! It's great to be in an environment that allows me to continuously grow and learn.
